Kashmir Vs Rest of India

I may not be quite informed and super qualified to write over the subject, but somewhere in my heart I feel irritated like many other fellow Indians over the Kashmir issue. News Channels and Newspapers are also responsible to some extent for making the news related to Kashmir very spicy. So, I will have my questions open in this forum to get some relevant answers.

Right from our childhood, we keep on hearing that Kashmir is an apple of discord for the government of India. It is quite comforting and easy to sit under an air-conditioned room and present your opinion over any burning issues like Naxal movement or AFSPA. But, the reality of Kashmir cannot be taken that casually anymore by any one of us, specially when it has become more than three decades and we keep on hearing the same news about the burning of it.

Sometimes it is often described as one of the heavens on this planet and the very next moment it turns out to be a valley of ugly massacre of Kashmiris-be it a Muslim or a Kashmiri Pandit. The question arises on our governing bodies and military capabilities that why we are not able to settle the Kashmir in last three decades. Are we really so incapable to handling it? Why Kashimiris started to hate rest of the country? Why they are more inclined towards a screwed up nation like Pakistan, which is struggling for her own survival? Why the youths of Kashmir are holding the flag of ISIS?

No one is ready to give an answer. Neither government nor the armed forces, who posses special power in the valley. These days, we are being considered for our potentials in the world market-be it in the field of IT industry or space research. We are proving our capabilities everywhere throughout the world, then why do we appear like a failed system in the matter of Kashmir? I have met several Kashmiri Pandits in different parts of the country living in different situations. Some of them got the right set of education and jobs with the help of reservation policy for Kashmiri migrants by government of India, but most of them are forced to live miserably in the refugee camps. Somewhere, in 2012 a family came to me for financial assistance in Pune and their story was very heart wrecking. But, they are lucky to have the assimilation and acceptance by rest of the country. I was able to assist them with little of my capabilities, but the biggest relief to them is the sympathy extended by common Indians towards them. At least, we acknowledge their grief and sorrow.

But, the Kashmiri Muslims, who are left over in the valley after throwing away the Kashmiri Pandits under whatsoever agenda they had. What about them? What did they achieve by seeking the help of terrorism to terrorise the non-Muslims and forcing them to run away leaving their native land? They should be asking the questions to themselves that what sort of future they were able to nurture for their kids. The bloodshed in the valley has taken away many lives of youngsters and like they mentioned in one of the Bollywood songs “Jhelam-laal laal hua laal”, the rivers in Kashmir are found to be more coloured in comparison to any other rivers in other parts of the country. Those who continued to live in Kashmir have actually lost much more lives than the Kashmiri Pandits. And on top of it all they have got is the sympathy of terrorists like Hafiz Sayeed and the country of nomads-Pakistan, which has a proven in capabilities of protecting even the school going kids on its own soil.

So, in sort Kashmiri Muslims are the biggest losers of all the time. Some of them often found to be raising slogans in the university campuses of JNU or Jadavpur like ‘bandook se lenge aazadi’, and when time comes to confront the armed forces then they cry of innocence and intolerance. Everybody involved in this should be doing retrospection for what truly they want to achieve. Be it the separatist leaders, state government and the central government. End of the day, it is Kashmir which is evenly burning round the year loosing the youth and their future in the valley.  It is also high time for the government of India to take effective measures to win the heart of Kashmiris and help them restore their believes in our system.

    • Indeed!!The acceptance is required from both the end….On this particular matter I don’t even want to see the media reporting…They depict their own versions, which may not be anywhere closer to truth:-(

  1. On grounds, first- there is discord among residents of Kashmir (you cant say who is pro india and who is pro liberation), Politicians of Kashmir ( omar abdulla & mm sending condolences via twitter and press and not meeting affected areas as they are scared shit) and Gov Of India ( Local police support locals, no intel is shared with army, army as ordered don’t hesitate is firing to any thing and any one moving in bush and night). second- there is vested interest of paki – during last confrontation actual line of control and POK were dismantled and paki army was able to push 100 and thousands to paki occupied Muslims to this side with idea of eventually mushrooming then into pak cheering population and using them as vessel to disturb India. Third – Kashmir (incl. pok) has been hindu dominant state historically (2000 yrs till yr.1800 when mugal kings buils that at summer retreat and settled muslim population). I personally know few kashmiri pandits who used to say, mahashivratri was the biggest festival celebrated in Kashmir, it was like Dusshera to Bangals. My point is all the separatist and their entire supporters should castrated or bolls needs to be chopped off as they are the ones who influence locals and forms majority and doesnot allow administration and army to function. They are source of funding to such terror outfit. I mean it is so easy to lure a 15/18 yrs old class 10/12th going student who is facing all sort of hardship. All imambaras, Mosques should be under cctv surveillance of army. Isn’t your blood boil when you hear Pri-minister of Pak nawaz sarif saying Burhan wani killing as shocker. It is so obvious that pak funded- separatist channeled – screwed burhan’s life. Lastly- Coward modi as not dealing Kashmir with directorship. Kashmir issue is unique & has unique challenges. Concept is simple – Destroy so that you can recreate it.

    • You cannot destroy a territory, which is pre-dominant by a community irrespective of whatever history it is having. Its up to the Kashmiris that what solution they want for themselves. If they want to keep on pelting stones at armed forces, then slowly they are destroying themselves. Government don’t even need to do anything about it. Secondly, as I mentioned in the blog that they should be analysing the number of deaths they have seen after the Kashmiri Pandit’s ousted and I am pretty sure that they will have the answer.

      • Dont agree – 80 % of actual kashmiries are now not in kashmir but everywhere else in the country.Gov must do somethings like putting dictatorship ( president’s rule) for all the seasons. All maddarsas should be under cctv surveillance. All who wants azad kashmir should be had cuffed and sent to pakistan via wagha border. India should take back POK by force its. All pandits should be restored to their respective land article 360 should be abolished and all the IPC should be applicable by all force just like any other state. About media – they were always on some one’s side. Watch DD news they report just news no breaking news.

    • Media in India has stopped reporting these days, rather they simply give their opinion based on the ideologies of they channel houses. Zee TV belongs to BJP, NDTV is anti-BJP and rest all the channels are mysteriously reporting the presence of aliens on our planet..

  2. DO you think whatever is happening is sane over there is SANE. Kashmir is not an issue of Kashmiris but all of us. There has to be presidents rule in Kashmir, no article 360. What do you think a from sane point

  3. As I said that I don’t have expertise over the matter. We go by the media reports, which is a perspective based on certain ideologies. There has been a kind of army rule already in Kashmir popularly known as AFSPA, which has its own consequences. So, in sort president rule will have a little add on over the valley. Article 360 prevents Indians from the other part to settle over there, but the rule is not applicable on Kashmiri migrants…. When the fear of death is over, then there is no fear that can stop the insanity of a breed…roots are deep my friend 🙂

  4. One thing for has definitely changed, Earlier army used to kill terrorist and there were stone pelting, but this time its different. Army has shot 50 protesters this time if you must know. Manohar Parrikar seems given straight fwd instruction. And I think it it upto them to decide, All the protesters/separatist/waging flas of paki and isis should be just shot, no questions asked, those who ask should also be shot. they must fear. They have to abide Indian laws only.India don’t want solution, in-fact don’t need solution.Kashmir sovereign part if India.Let Commanders of the army do the job. President rule is needed so that civil police is corrupt and favors locals who favors anti state ppl & activities. Even I am no expert on the matter, infact might have less informed than most over here, but i have take my side.

    • Burban Wani was a freedom fighter not a terrorist. May God rest his soul in peace. The only cause of Kashmir issue is state-terrorism launched by villain state India. Just for a piece of land killing so many people is not fair, it should be stopped.

      • Hello Shaukat Ali….I hope that you too are a freedom fighter like your dead brother BW. Haven’t you heard he is gone to heaven with 70 odd virgins are waiting and wanting him to penetrate. I hope and wish that you too soon go to heaven and met your freedom fighter brother and help him make holes in those virgin. Actually, its pity that you are still reading this post and not dead yet.
